Fountain Hills
Home Automation Fountain Hills, Arizona
We install home automation in Fountain Hills, AZ, with systems that work with the town’s Dark Sky rules, hillside views, and indoor outdoor architecture.
Smart Home Installation Fountain Hills, AZ
Smart Lighting Control
Smart lighting gives you control over every fixture inside and outside your home. Schedules, dimming, scenes, and one-touch presets all run from a single app or wall keypad.
In Fountain Hills, outdoor lighting has to meet the Dark Sky Ordinance. Designs must also minimize light spilling onto neighboring lots.
We help you select fixtures and program scenes that keep your entries, driveways, patios, and pathways well-lit at night while staying within local requirements.
Home Networking
Reliable networking is the backbone of any connected home.We design networks with enterprise-grade mesh Wi-Fi paired with a wired Ethernet backbone. Hardwired connections run to media rooms, offices, home theaters, and security equipment.
Wireless access points cover every level, every outdoor area, detached casitas, and outbuildings. The result is consistent, fast connectivity across your entire property.
Home Audio and Video
Fountain Hills homes are designed for the views, with outdoor terraces that extend the living space.
We install distributed audio systems that let you play music in any room or zone, controlled from your phone or a wall keypad. For outdoor living, we use weather-rated speakers and displays built for Arizona’s heat and monsoon exposure. Media rooms get theater-caliber sound and video, calibrated and integrated with the rest of your home system.
Automated Shades
Summer highs in Fountain Hills regularly climb past 100°F and can push toward 110°F on the hottest days. Walls of west-facing glass deliver stunning mountain sunsets and punishing afternoon heat.
Motorized shades on schedules lower automatically during peak sun hours, reducing your cooling load and protecting interiors. Shades integrate into the same control system as your lighting, audio, security, and climate, so everything works together.
Home Automation
Large custom homes in Fountain Hills have a lot of systems to manage: lighting, shades, audio, video, thermostats, security, gates, and pools. Control4 brings them into one app and one interface, so you’re not juggling remotes or switching between apps.
Arizona’s monsoon season brings dust storms and power outages. Surge protection and equipment that’s installed for serviceability matter here. We design systems that hold up to the climate and stay easy to maintain over the years.
Security Cameras
We design camera coverage tailored to your lot, with views of driveways, entry gates, patios, and service areas. Remote viewing through a single app lets you check on your property from anywhere. For multi-level hillside sites, we plan camera placement during a site walk to make sure coverage accounts for sightlines and terrain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does our outdoor and landscape lighting have to meet Fountain Hills’ Dark Sky Ordinance, and can smart lighting still look good?+
Yes. The ordinance requires fixtures at 3000K or lower and full shielding for output above 2,250 lumens. Light trespass onto neighboring lots must be minimized. Smart lighting control helps you stay compliant with warm scenes and scheduled on/off times. We consult on fixture selection and take extra care on hillside lots where light can reach properties below.
We’re on a hillside lot in a community like FireRock or Adero Canyon. Can you get reliable Wi-Fi and camera coverage across the whole property?+
Yes. Multi-level homes, detached casitas, pool patios, and large grounds all need coverage planned for the specific layout. We do a site walk to design a network and camera system that accounts for your terrain, construction materials, elevation changes, and outdoor living areas.
Do you handle indoor and outdoor audio and video for view patios?+
Yes. We install outdoor-rated speakers and displays designed for Arizona’s heat and monsoon exposure. We also install distributed audio systems for whole-home coverage. Indoor media rooms get theater-quality sound and video, all integrated into one control system.
Do you work with builders during new construction?+
Yes. For new homes in communities like Adero Canyon or the Overlook at FireRock, we coordinate with your builder and designer to prewire during construction. Prewiring keeps cables hidden and reduces retrofit costs.
Do you install home theaters in Fountain Hills?+
Yes. We design and install dedicated home theaters and media rooms, from screen and speaker placement to acoustic treatment and lighting control.

Above and Beyond Customer Service
My name is Jill Newton, and I wanted to take a moment to share how wonderful our experience was with Chad, our service technician. Chad was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. During our scheduled visit for a TV issue, we started talking about some other issues we had been experiencing. Chad took the time to check our internet connection, even though it had nothing to do with the reason for his visit. He spent well over an hour testing everything, taking notes, and troubleshooting the issue. As it turned out, our internet speed was slower than it should have been, and Chad had a great recommendation for improving it. Thanks to his suggestion, we ended up purchasing new equipment, which Chad also installed for us. We have worked with Chad before and have always had a great customer service experience. His willingness to go above and beyond, attention to detail, and genuine desire to help really stood out to us. Chad deserves more than a gold star! We truly appreciate his excellent service and would highly recommend him.

A huge thank you to Dylan, Ray, Alex, Paul, Rhonda, and the entire team. Everyone was remarkably friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of our space. They made the entire setup process seamless and stress-free, taking the time to ensure everything was configured perfectly and easy for us to use. Eight Years Strong
This review is based on eight years of working with PAV. After our house was burned to the ground in a wildfire in Northern California, we moved to Scottsdale and built a new home. PAV did all the wiring, auto shades, audio system, and Control4 system. They went out of their way to make helpful suggestions and completed each project on time and within budget. Everything operated as advertised. All the techs were very courteous and professional. Needless to say, all maintenance and adjustments have been performed by PAV. The front staff are fantastic, namely Rhonda, who is an excellent organizer and extremely personable. Several times when repairs have been done, Marty, the owner, called me to make sure all was okay. They are always available and on time. I only wish all the other vendors were like PAV. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending PAV for all your electrical and audio needs. We are very lucky to have them in the Valley.

A Well-Deserved Thank You
I was inspired to write this after one of your technicians fixed two minor issues with our alarm system. He was very thorough and a pleasure to work with. It got me thinking. You might recall that 12 years ago, during my home renovation, I sent you an email containing disparaging remarks about your employees, which got us off to a rough start. If I never properly apologized back then, I do so now. I was clearly wrong. Over the past 12 years, whenever we've had an issue related to our alarm or entertainment system, your employees have consistently been helpful, professional, and great to work with, both in our home and over the phone. You have clearly built a strong service culture at PAV, which is not always easy to do. My appreciation goes to your employees and the entire organization.

Trusted Trade Partner
I wanted to take the time to write this because it matters. As a custom home builder, we rely heavily on partners who can handle both small and large-scale projects and stay on schedule—PAV has been very consistent for us. They handle everything from home theater and audio/video to surveillance, security, and electrical, which makes them a great one-stop shop. [...] The team at PAV is responsive, professional, organized, and shows up when they say they will, which is huge when it comes to keeping our projects on track. [...] Highly recommend!
